Watercolour and Ink Snowdrops Fine Art Print

I love the delicacy of snowdrops, and I wanted to capture their fragility when creating this artwork. I originally drew the snowdrops using a fine black pen, and it took an age to complete! Although I loved how it looked as a simple black and white drawing, I knew that adding colour was needed, so I nervously got my watercolours out and gave the ink drawing some subtle hues of green and blue. Fortunately, it turned out ok!

As snowdrops symbolise hope and new beginnings, the print would make a great ‘new home’ gift. Equally, it’s a thoughtful gift for someone who has perhaps gone through a difficult period in their life; the artwork exudes a calmness and comfort. Its neutral colour palette, with its velvety olive-green background, makes it a safe choice for hanging in almost any room in the house.

It has been reproduced on a fine art paper called Hahnemühle William Turner, an acid-free and lignin-free stock that has a textured, crisp, clean and tactile feel. Its premium coating meets the highest standards for colour reproduction and image sharpness.

All my fine art prints come mounted and you can choose to have your print framed or unframed. If you want your art print framed, you have three framing options to choose from: brushed walnut, brushed white and wood veneer oak. Each frame is 20mm wide and 20mm deep and includes a 2mm lightweight, shatter-proof acrylic glass. If you prefer not to have the print framed, please select ‘no frame’ in the dropdown.

Please note that the size you order is the total size of the mounted print, so if you choose to get the print framed, the overall size increases by 40mm (1.57 inches) all around.
